Meet the Therapist
Renatta Lindsey, LPC, NCC
Hi! My name is Renatta Lindsey, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) in Texas. I have a master's degrees in counseling and bring over 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. I value working with individuals from all walks of life and have experience supporting clients from diverse backgrounds, including race, ethnicity, and sexuality. Outside of counseling, I enjoy time with family, traveling, cooking, and reading.
Now that we’ve gotten introductions out of the way, I want to say how grateful I am that you’re here. Choosing to move forward in the face of adversity takes real courage, and by being here, you’ve already taken an important first step. In our work together, I invite you to bring your whole self into the session - your personality, thoughts, feelings, culture, and lived experiences.
Life’s journey often brings challenges that can be difficult to name, verbalize, or express. These challenges may show up as anxiety, depression, addiction, relationship issues, self-harm, and trauma. At times, you may feel stuck, as if you can’t see past today or that there’s no way forward. I want you to know there are positive ways to cope, and together, we can work towards discovering them.
My intention is to help you develop coping skills, uncover your strengths, and navigate life's challenges, while fostering a sense of wholeness, self-awareness, healing, and growth. I am committed to creating a safe and non-judgmental space where you can say, “I’m not okay” and begin to explore the “why” with compassion and support.
